November is a busy month in the garden for planting soft fruit bushes and fruit trees. Most of these are sold as bare-rooted plants and are despatched from suppliers when the plants are dormant. Plant them before the ground becomes too hard to dig. All of the hectic summer cropping in the vegetable garden is now over, but there are still plenty of veg to harvest such as cabbages, brussel sprouts, celeriac, parsnip and scorzonera. Now is a good month to finish tidying up the garden and and to start putting away all tools and furniture ready for the colder winter months.
Rather than have one long list of things you can do in the garden this month, we’ve split the gardening jobs down into 3 sections, so that you can choose the one most relevant to you.
